Two books, and what I learned getting here

An ordinary family's route from Shenzhen to Hong Kong. Two books on Kindle at $9.99, plus free first-hand guides to Hong Kong IANG visa renewal.

I grew up in a small city in northwest China with no particular advantages, built a business in Shenzhen, and then moved my family's income, residency and planning to Hong Kong step by step. Not through one big break — through a long series of unglamorous decisions.

I wrote two books about it.

The books

别再卷了:去赚美金 — Stop Grinding, Go Earn Dollars

The outward-facing half. How an ordinary family gets from a single-market, single-currency income to something with more optionality: the Hong Kong company, cross-border payments, the first US dollar that actually lands, and what AI and app exports changed for solo operators.

Read on Kindle — $9.99

永远记得你还有家人 — Always Remember You Have Family

The inward-facing half. Making money is not the point; where the family goes with it is. Family planning, children's education, asset arrangement, risk isolation, and what the next ten years of optionality actually costs.

Read on Kindle — $9.99

Both books are written in Chinese.

Free guides, in English

I am currently renewing a family member's IANG visa through the self-employment route — our own Hong Kong company, real employment records, MPF, the whole timeline. I am writing down what I find as I go.

The English-language material on this is unusually thin. Most of it is generic and ends by telling you to contact the Immigration Department. So the guide quotes the rules directly.

Hong Kong IANG Visa Renewal for the Self-Employed →

Covers the three-month filing window and the six-week hard floor, the HK$1,900 fee, ID 91 and ID 990B, the MPF contribution cap, and the rule that you must still leave Hong Kong while your application is pending.

Everything marked official is checked against immd.gov.hk and mpfa.org.hk, with the verification date printed on the page.

Working with me directly

If you are on this path and want someone to look at your specific timeline rather than a generic checklist, I do 1-on-1 sessions.

Consulting and pricing →

I do not act as an agent, I do not package applications, and I do not promise outcomes — approval involves subjective judgement, and identical circumstances can produce different results.
